Project initiation phase: In the initiation phase, the feasibility study and the business case should be developed along with the assign of the project team. Project planning phase: In the project planning phase, the financial plan, quality plan and plan for executing the project needs to be developed. Project execution phase: The project execution phase is dependent on the implementation and project chosen for the project based on the complexity and size of the project. Project closure phase: The project closure phase is characterized as the last phase of project deals with the verification of the quality and deliverables of the project. Policies and Procedures to be Considered The polices for the project management is based on the type of project and the development plan used for project completion. The application of the appropriate project policies allows in managing the qualities ad risks associated with the project. Various tools, software and techniques exists for allocating the team members associated with the project. The application of project management software including Microsoft Project provides easy allocation of the team members with the activities and tasks needs to be done. In addition to that, application of RACI matrix provides details view of the various responsibilities and impact of the project team associated with the project. Policies based on domains and client requirements Various project management policies includes the development of the project charter, risk management plan, quality assurance plan includes in the project policies. Furthermore, the including the feedback from the client and ensuring the requirement and expectation of the client from the project helps in ensuring the success of the project. Mechanism to share knowledge and lesson learned A lesson learned session needs to be included within the project for highlighting the events and things that went wrong as well as wrong for the particular project.
